Plan and Prepare for the ACT Test

August 27, 2016 -- 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Expert Advice on Preparing and Getting a High Score
on this Essential Component of
US University Application

Saturday, August 27, 2016
3pm – 4:30pm
CityU SCOPE Rm UR6, 8/F, United Centre,
Admiralty, HK

US university applications seem straightforward, but are more competitive than they have ever been – particularly among applicants from Asia.

Garnering acceptance to the top universities requires a full-bodied application that displays a student’s academic, extracurricular and leadership potential.  A high score on the ACT is one of the most important components of a successful application.

Understanding the standardized tests is a painstaking process and requires in-depth analyses of decades of official exams.  Even the most dedicated students do not have the time to fully immerse themselves in these exams.

In this workshop, test prep expert Peter Kaufman will answer the most pressing questions students and parents have about the ACT. He will also give advice on how to plan for ACT preparation to avoid clash with the HKDSE.

Join Peter Kaufman to learn:

  • The real differences between the SAT and ACT and how to choose the “right” test
  • How to schedule the test preparation plan
  • How to apply to US and Hong Kong universities at the same time (time management for HKDSE students)
  • What scores does a student need to enter a top university and how to set the target ACT score
  • When and what students have to do in order to get a “top” score
  • Success story: from a 28 to a 34 ACT in 30 hours
  • Expert tips and tricks
  • Free resources available for students (and parents) to prepare for ACT or SAT tests
